In the highlands, where sweeping vegetation meets a sunlit climate, coffee farming has long been a source of pride and shared purpose for local communities.

WAWA carries that spirit forward, honoring the dedication of the smallholder farmers whose work shapes every harvest, and the land that gives their coffee its distinct character.

Community lots are sourced from smallholder farmers surrounding a single washing station, capturing the shared character of a community.

WAWA at Bishan Guracha Station

WAWA is our Community Lot sourced from smallholder farmers around the Roricho and Bohira kebeles in Worka (Nensebo), West Arsi. The coffee is processed at Bishan Guracha Station named after a nearby river, with "Bishan Guracha" meaning "black water" in the local language at elevations ranging from 2,000 to 2,200 meters above sea level. Surrounded by dense vegetation and sunlit terrain, the station works closely with around 250 dedicated coffee supplier farmers to produce coffee of distinct quality.
