NORTH Daye Bensa Kontema
Background
NORTH Daye Bensa Kontema is one of the sub-districts for Sidama region. And it is a home to one of our coffee processing stations called by the same name. Kontema Station is capable of processing half a million kgs of coffee in a given harvesting year. Sourcing coffees called Bombe Kontema and Muraga, It is found at a staggering 2100 - 2300 meters above sea level. The surrounding village is beautifully designed with traditional handmade wooden doors and windows, and houses are built a little bit up from the ground because the place is exposed to flood. With having fertile soil and higher rainfall, Kontema is such a great place to harvest coffee.
