Adara Daye Bensa
Background
Adara coffee is sourced from the Keramo kebele. Keramo means a place around or under a mountain, and the act of climbing a mountain. Both reflect the landscape here elevated, challenging, and defined by effort and these qualities are mirrored in every cup produced from this area.
In time, the coffee processed here took on a deeper name.
It was renamed Adara, in honor of our grandfather, whose passing inspired us to carry his name forward. In Sidamic, Adara means “friendly” a word that reflects the spirit of the people in this area. Farming here is built on cooperation, trust, and strong community ties, values that have shaped the station since its beginning.
Today, 184 dedicated coffee suppliers and farmers support Adara coffee, working together in a highland environment to produce High Selection lots that reflect clarity, strength, and character. The coffee is sourced from Hamasho and Keramo, areas known for steep terrain, cool air, and carefully tended high-altitude farms.
Adara Coffee is where land, legacy, and community come together, honoring the past while continuing to climb toward the future.
